Welcome to Greeley, the county
seat of Greeley County, located in east-central Nebraska.
The Greeley Courthouse is on the Nebraska Historical Building
Registry. The beautiful Veteran Memorial wall, which was
dedicated in 2003, is also located in front of the Greeley
Courthouse. Served by U.S. Hwy 281 and NE Hwy 56, the town
is located 48 miles North of Grand Island on Highway 281
and is 150 miles west of Omaha. Basic economic activities
include irrigated farming, cattle operations, ranching, poultry
raising, government offices, and retail sales businesses.
Greeley is centrally located among many recreational areas
including the Calamus Reservoir and the Cedar River. The
Greeley area is also rich with many historic buildings, artifacts & beautiful
scenery.
